Empowering Women with Shelf Help Club

Hotsuit Sports - Empowering Women with Shelf Help Club

At HOTSUIT we are all about empowering women through fitness and beyond. Which is why this Spring we’ve teamed up with Shelf Help Club to introduce you to a series of inspirational women on a mission to make you feel uplifted and motivated.

Shelf Help Club (www.shelfhelp.club) is a book club and community dedicated to self-help and self-development. Founded by Toni Jones, each month this alternative book club highlights a life-changing book designed to change your life for the better. For our exclusive series, she has found four incredible women who we guarantee will make you think differently and will be hosting exclusive talks in our London shops. Get ready to feel inspired.

Bonita Norris aka Girl Who Climbed Everest

Bonita's book tells the story of how she went from novice mountaineer to standing on top of the world in only two years, and then what happens next. She talks with refreshing vulnerability and honesty about her motivations, her failures and why a normal girl from Wokingham was drawn to risk her life, time and time again.

We're celebrating the paperback publication of 'The Girl Who Climbed Everest' with an evening with author, yogi and adventurer Bonita Norris. Join us on Friday 14th September at 7.15pm at Sweaty Betty Kings Road for an energising yoga class (this mountain climber also teaches yoga) and an inspiring talk guaranteed to leave you feeling uplifted and motivated.

Hazel Gale, from athlete to therapist

While training as a competitive boxer and kickboxer, Hazel Gale developed anxiety issues that led to emotional and physical burnout. Discovering cognitive hypnotherapy not only helped her back on the road to health, but ultimately turned her whole life around. She learnt to understand competition, success, fear and challenge in new ways, leading to international titles across both sports. Hazel felt compelled to introduce others to the profound benefits of cognitive hypnotherapy. During the event she will lead a boxing workout for the body and mind, teaching us how to face the monsters of our mind and leave feeling stronger and more in control of how we think, feel and act.

We're celebrating the publication of 'Fight! Win Freedom From Self-Sabotage' with a morning with author and ex- boxer Hazel Gale. If you're interested in identifying and overcoming your self-sabotage triggers join us and the Shelf Help book club at Sweaty Betty Richmond on Sunday 23rd September at 9.00am.

Shahroo Izadi, the Kindness specialist

Shahroo is a behavioural change specialist, with a laidback non-judgemental style that rejects the traditional patient dynamic. Shahroo combines professional addiction training with personal experience, aiming to make evidence based psychological tools accessible and positive to everyone.

We're celebrating the publication of 'The Kindness Method' with a morning with the author! Join us on Thursday 27th September at Sweaty Betty Kings Road at 7.15pm for a guided self-help session with Shahroo. During the session, she will deliver a workshop using exercises from the book, sign copies and take any burning questions.
